If I scroll up a conversation to read past messages, when a new message comes in the conversation will be scrolled all the way to the bottom in order to show the new message, making me lose my place. On channels where this is a lot of chatter, it becomes impossible to read old messages.
The conversation should only get scrolled to the bottom when a new message arrives if it is already scrolled to the bottom.
