rotatecert.sh - possible enhancements (k8s environment / client cert dirs)

This is an issue to track the possibility of changes which may benefit k8s use cases. There was a ticket tracked by this thread:

which may:

• capture some items which are specific to k8s.
• We may want to account for the fact that the client cert dirs contain certificates in a different directory.
