Gears Demos should report incompatibility with file: URLs. #259

Detailed description:
The following exception affects ResourceStore, ManagedResourceStore, and 
WorkerPool demos: 

URL scheme 'file' is not supported.

This error should be detected when it occurs, or we should have the demos 
detect that they are 
running from the local filesystem and display a message before the user takes 
an action.
