Thanks for posting the ticket. Maybe we only need information at the one place - the download link.

I'd like to assume that windows users know they shouldn't compile debug programs with release libraries, but we should at least have a means that they know our sdk is release.

Perhaps renaming the download zip with a -release suffix?
