That's a reasonable suggestion. In the meantime, please choose in the CPU meter preference to show the average or the sum of all cores, instead of showing the data of each core individually.
Thanks! I'd be happy with even just a few pixels of width per core. The M1-MAX is a 10-core CPU (and a 32 core GPU - in case metering those ever becomes a thing) and I hear in the future the CPU could go as high as 40 cores!
I really like viewing the thermometer displays for each physical core, but the space it takes up in the menubar is simply enormous. It has consequences for what is able to be shown in the menubar when running applications that take up a lot of menu space, and now with the advent of the notch the issue is dramatically worse. Would it be possible to eliminate the space between each CPU thermometer bar (still keeping the borders)? I'd even go so far as to say the width of each thermometer could additionally be reduced. My laptop shows 8 cores and I believe the total width for that part could be reduced easily by 50% without any impact on the effectiveness of the information being shown. Thanks for listening - MenuMeters is a great product and I'll continue using it always.
