4K HDR not playing on Shield TV Pro on LG OLED C17 #1085

I switch from a Sony XE9305 to a LG OLED 65C17 and when i show on my Shield TV Pro 2019 now a 4K HDR Video on my new LG i get a black screen. Normal Videos are playing fine and also 4K but not 4K HDR. With the native Youtube App on the LG 4K HDR is playing fine.

Shield TV Pro can not playback HDR videos on Youtube :(

I have the same problem with CX and the old ShieldTV.

Same. I can play HDR formats from other sources without any problems - expect YT.

Does the 60fps video play smoothly?

LG OLED 65C1, NVIDIA set to use HDR10/Dolby Vision but Youtube seems to play the videos without the HDR (when in HDR the logo should appear in the screen conner). In SmartTube HDR videos don't play, I only get a black screen. If I change the video format for 4K without HDR it plays fine.

Hey guys,

As I have said before sadly Nvidia Shield TV does not support HDR on Youtube.

Apparently the Shields hardware would need to be updated to support it.
