2 years ago Hi, I have also been getting this issue, too, @cdarrigo, with my '15 Shield.
I followed the install from the old Vanced pages, and I'm pretty sure it took me to either this repository, or the git site for it.
Either way, I've tried every cable under the sun, but it keeps happening. I've also tried with and without my other refresh rate app running or not. Plus I even exported Vanced from a tablet, and it didn't have a single issue.
I haven't tried this directly, my LG B7 is connected properly via an Onkyo TX-NR646 AVR, both can handle the videos involved.
I'm about to try the "STubeNext_ststable_v15.62_r" release today, but if someone else is having this issue, too, I don't hold out hope.
What could this be?
Every video I play the the video begins to play and immediately my TV goes blank, and about 1 second later my tv seems to reset the HDMI input, and the picture and sound resume.
The video has been playing the whole time, so I have to manually skip back to the start of the video to see what I have missed
Leading the video, the entire screen goes black for a second or two before rendering
