Finding the same, from the Home screen, on my Firestick. (Will load, but shortly crash, from Subscriptions)
I've decided to swap to Stable and rollback to v17.62.
The commit history of STN is a bit messy so it's difficult to see exactly where or how the problem was introduced.
Shield here in USA. No problems with any of the versions up to and including the current beta.
I have the same problem in my zidoo Z9S,if I pkay 4K/60Hz video , smartyoutube (ver. 17.80) will stop play video, but change to 1080P/60Hz it will be ok

Anyone able to confirm whether this has been fixed or if it still exists as an issue?
Hi,
I updated to 17.68 roughly 30 minutes ago and no videos are now playing. Instead they remain in a paused state, on a black screen, with no timestamp information. Only the video fitle, channel name, views, upload time and UTC clock are visible as well as the context menu.
In an attempt to troubleshoot the issue I have restarted the app, force stopped, cleared cache and also restarted the Shield but with no success.
Please let me know if there is any other information required.
