No way to define STN as default YouTube app? #2425

I have an Android TV box I had managed to sideload this application on but every time I attempt to open a video in the provider's default launcher interface, where there is a YouTube option I cannot select SmartTube, only app markets I already have installed (which is unrelated to my problem, but those options are F-Droid and Google Play Store).

I would like to remark I do not believe this to be an STN issue, but I am asking this question to receive advice about how to force this as a default option so I can click on a YouTube video and force it to open in STN. I am willing to attempt use of ADB shell if absolutely necessary.

Just use remap buttons app

What kind of trash response is that? Care to tell me a specific one that allows me to remap YouTube to STN in the IFeelSmart launcher that is provided on the rebranded SDHC box given by my service provider? Because telling me to install a button remapper for my remote doesn't resolve my problem.

You can use some other launcher, ATV launcher is good (but paid version, free version is trash).
