Same issue but it's only happening under my kids account. If i switch to my own account videos load and play fine. So maybe it's profile related?
Same for me, my account is fine, kids accounts don't play videos.
I do confirm the situation - videos won't start on kid's (age related) account. No account or my account - no problem.
Many thanks to the commenters saying that they experienced this problem only with a kid's account. I was using a kid's account on that fire tv. After switching to a non-restricted account every video is playing again.
I'll edit that piece of information into the original bug report.
@cfiebig I'm not sure if you can edit issue's title, but adding info about kid's account there would be nice for anyone browsing issues on some lists seeing only titles.
@grocal I can edit the title as well and added it there too.
For me it's fixed in 22.77. Anyone else can confirm?

Steps to reproduce the bug
Actual behavior
After installing v22.74 no video wants to play anymore. When I select a video, it seems to load but all I see is the screen as if I had paused it the second it wanted to start. But clicking on the play button does exactly nothing.
With v22.65 I sometimes got the 403 error, but after waiting for 5-10 seconds the video would continue. Now it's much worse.
Additional information
My device is a Amazon fire tv, older than the fire tv stick but with the most recent os updates.
This bug could be related to being logged in with a kid's account.
