Phone refuses to cast/connect #509

Tried on 2 different phones with 2 different youtube apps. I tried to clear storage, cache and reinstall, nothing helped. I also tried to clear devices, no dice.

It's been very unstable for the past 10 or so updates. But now it's completely broken.

Casting works on the default app.

I just started having the same problem today. I was using Vanced to cast to SmartTubeNext, and all of a sudden the connection broke and I wasn't able to reconnect to cast.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling both vanced and SmartTubeNext, relinking with TV code but I can no longer see SmartTubeNext, but I can see and cast to the official YouTube app.

I also tried casting to an older version of SmartTubeNext that was working fine a few days ago but it's also no longer showing up when I look for devices to cast to. I even tried installing SmartYoutubeTV to see if I could cast to it, but when I try to cast a video it causes the app to crash now.

I suspect that YouTube changed something on their end today that broke casting in SmartTubeNext, because I was casting when my streaming device disappeared. And I hadn't updated SmartTubeNext or Vanced.

Indeed , the linking/casting-function is broken in 10.122 (@yuliskov )

Good fix, casting/linking works again in update 10.124.

Does not work for me with the latest version 10.141

I use firetv stick 4k which has a new updated version 6.2.8 and since then it does not work for me anymore

Edit: connecting via code works. But the Handy cast button does not work anymore.

Xiaomi Mi smart projector same issue here. Stopped working for about a week ir two ago. New build does not fix the issue. I just have black screen with controls and kinda loading state.
