Bug: subscription button doesn't work #83

On Sony x950G. I have notice the subscribe button doesn't behave as intended, when attempting to subscribe and/or unsubscribe. Thank you Devs for your work. The app is really progressing.

Hello, do you have already version 6.8, because there it works for me.

Just tested to confirm, but unsubscribing to a channel and going back to my channel list. It's still there. I do have 6.8. It didn't work the last few updates either. I will try to uninstall and reinstall. and report back.

With me it works on recent sony android. Please be sure that icon turns blue upon subscribing. If you go to the channels , the newly subsribed channel is there (and also is gone after unsubscribing), but if you go to Subscriptions where all the videos are of your subscribed channels, it's not immediately refreshed/updated. That seems to need a restart of the app now....

I don't know what to say. Since responding I have: uninstalled, restarted the tv, fresh install, restarted the tv again, signed in... Went to my first channel under Subscriptions, opened a vid, unsubbed (icon turns white), back out, go to Channels and its still there. back out of that and go back to Subscriptions, and the sub icon is blue again. Is there a permissions setting in the Sony settings I'm missing?

The app has permission to local storage and microphone on my Sony.

Just did some intensive additional testing. Strange enough, subscription works on some channels, and does not work on other channels.... but I don't see a pattern in it.... strange situation : can it depend on localization ?

IDK... I live in Australia if that is any help. I noticed after reading around here, other's have had this issue as well. It's not a total deal breaker for me as a user, I am just trying to help contribute with feedback to get the app out of Beta. I have also noticed there used to be a "region" setting in the Sony android TV software that is missing now. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Same over here in Belgium, I don't use that function very often, but only trying to help on improvement for the beta. I am sure that it will get a solution later on... PS. funny detail without knowing you were in Australia : I was just testing in subscribing to the AC/DC-channel :-) (but that's a Vevo-channel run in the USA I think.... and Angus lives over here nearby.... the world is small after all....)

it seems to be working in 7.1!!! thank you haven't thoroughly tested it yet but it seems to work so far.

Indeed, works well now over here in 7.1
