FireTV screen saver #364

It use to be when I first started using this, the FireTV screen saver would start up if there was no video playing. I forget if the screen saver would start if the video was paused. Ever since some update months ago the screen saver never starts up. Unless there's a setting I'm over looking.

With all other apps the screen saver works in fine when a video is not playing. With some apps, I believe, the screen saver will start up if the video is paused.

Amazon FireTV 1st gen (not Fire Stick) Fire OS version: 5.2.7.1 (646581820) SmartYoutube TV version: 6.17.187

I've been having the same problem with the screensaver not working on my Firesticks when Smart YouTube TV is open.

I had remained with the .40 version as long as I could since it did everything I needed. I had encountered the same screensaver issue before the .40 feature rollback so I really didn't want to update any further than necessary. The .40 version stopped being able to load a couple of weeks ago - even with a fresh install - forcing me to upgrade to the current version. I now have the problem with the screensaver not coming on while running Smart YouTube TV on both a Firestick 4K and a Firestick 2nd Gen when running any of the recent versions. I played around a bit and believe I'm having the problem in all the loaders, but the Lite Main one is the only one that I really like using anyway - Lite Alt requires CrossWalk and seems to load more slowly, while the Pro versions make viewing the thumbnails while a video is playing to pick the next video too cumbersome.

Are there any old versions that will still work with the current YouTube setup but not prevent the Firestick screensaver from functioning?

Thanks. I've tried the new .216 version on my Firestick 4K. The screensaver seems to function with this version in the Pro Main loader, but the preferred Lite Main loader still doesn't seem to allow the screen saver to come on.
