Firestick Media keys no longer working. #604

The Play/Pause, Forward, and Rewind buttons no longer work on the SmartYouTubeTV app for me on the Firestick remote. I installed the latest version today. Did this change? A bug or is there a specific setting to change in the options? I've gone through and tried everything that looks like it may help with no change. Thanks!

I have the same problem, which also appeared for me after installing the latest update (.702). Note that this problem appears to be restricted to the LITE versions of Smart Youtube; the PRO versions appear to respond fine, although in PRO while playing a video and clicking down to see suggestions, I get a black screen.

The problem exists on both my Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and my Sony XBR-55X800G. I tried uninstalling and rolling back to the previous version (.697), uninstalling and reinstalling Crosswalk and rebooting, but the problem persists.

Update: So a couple of days ago the functionality started working again for no particular reason. I had reinstalled .702 more than a week ago despite the problem still being there, but like I said it suddenly fixed itself only a couple of days ago. No other updates were done for this app (or any others, for that matter) so this is very weird...?

i'm having the same problems. both the lite no media keys, and pro black screen(once the black loading screen comes up the videos keep playing in the background even after going back to home but no way to get back to the actual video)

Confirmed that this problem has returned. Given the fact that neither the media controls nor the history function are working, I have switched back to regular YouTube for now. The only caveat with regular YouTube being that 60fps videos on the Fire TV Stick drop a frame every few seconds. :(
