Need help with Voice Search #624

Device = Sony Bravia X80G (2019 model.)

Problem = Voice search is using Google Assistant instead of searching through SmartYouTubeTV. I have to go to the microphone symbol in SmartYouTubeTV before I can voice search correctly. Is there a way where I can conduct a search on SmartYouTubeTV without having to press the microphone button?

same issue here, TCL 43EP660, Android 9 Needless to say Google Assistant runs original youtube app on video searches.

For some strange reason, it started using Smart YouTube as the default on my TV after I re-installed the app. Maybe reinstalling the Smart YouTube app will help for you, beholder?

It now works for me pretty much fine. However, the stupid G. Assistant keeps displaying youtube results row before the Smart Youtube results row. That might have confused me. Smart Youtube app search now works from the whole app.
