Stable version installed on Fire Cube won't play anything under "Movies & Shows" section #707

Everything under the "Movies & Shows" section errors with "oops, seems that the selected video format isn't supported by your device". I've already tried stopping the app, clearing cache and data - to no effect.

Fire Cube is connected to Denon AVR which is format locked at 1080p and connected to a Panasonic TC-P50V10 tv which supports all the usual formats, framerates, etc.

I have no trouble playing these same items under "Movies & Shows" from the Google/YouTube app, just fails with the Smart YouTube TV app.

In my case, I am trying to watch "Free with Ads" movies, but get the same error. Previews in this section do play.

I've never had a "free with ads" movie work.

Try smarttubenext. Its in beta its his new youtube app
