Need to press back twice to exit a video

Nvidia Shield Pro 2019

When watching a video I press back to exit. It goes to a "please wait" screen forever. Pressing back again returns to the menu as expected.

Sadly, everything that was fixed with version 728 in late October is wrong again from 16 Nov, due to what it looks like another recent Youtube platform update: Animations and previews are gone, Smooth transitions are gone, Black screen when exiting video, Black screen when accessing sugestions in a video, Voice search missing, No history for partialy played clips, and maybe more ... Also the Device in Setting (Sony ATV3 i.e.) is no longer properly recognised. Everthing looks again like an unfortunate incompatible mix between new YT interface and classic SmartYT, just like it did in 16 October last month. Issues are identical.

Kindly asking Yuliskov, again, for a fix (just like in 728 case). Please, do not abandon this project, not yet. SmartTubeNext is working fine, unaffected, better than it did a month ago. But still needs improvment on News, Subscriptions and Channels menu. Also the SmartTubeNext video player still cannot smoothly run 4K/60FPS/HDR videos, like SmartYT does without a glitch.

Thanks, I tried it but it's still beta and not quite up to the high standard of Smart YouTube TV.

Out of curiosity what issue do you have i have been using the new app for a few days now and it seems to work flawlessly. Only issue i have is the custom ui scaling keeps resetting.

While having to hit the ESC twice is a pain, I can live with it--as the overall experience is so much better than standard YT. The one issue I have is that I use a USB keyboard and a bunch of keys stopped working. Frustrating to type and see only 1/2 of a word.

Installed the beta: small bit of feedback:

When I type in the search area the 'ENTER" key does not execute the search. I need to used the onscren keyboard 'search' icon to execute the search.

I've tried many other '3rd" party youtube players and find your design sense to be the best of all I've tried. Keep up the great work and thank you for your efforts.

Do you wish me to give you feedback and/or comments going forward-- I promise, I'm not a knit-picking kind of person...LOL
