keyboard keys won't work

I just downloaded this version on 2 separate android tv boxes and it appears that during a search the keys E F G H J X won't type from my wireless USB keyboards. I've tried 3 different keyboards. I've looked for a fix and have been unsuccessful. Other than that, I really love this app. Thanks for your hard work.

I have same problem. I am using H96 Max+ RK3328. I have tried 2 different keyboards and get same result.

Please fix this, it's very annoying and makes the app useless. Also the back key doesn't work while typing, it takes you to the back page instead of deleting one letter.

I have a problem when using a wireless keyboard. When I try to search a video a few letters on my keyboard are not recognized (Letter E for example). I tried with 2 different keyboard (Logitech and a generic one). These keyboards works fine on the official Youtube but not on smart youtube. Any solution ?

I have had this problem, on and off with certain updated apks. I checked the official YouTube app for Android TV and hardware keyboard support works fine.

I'm using an Nvidia Shield TV (2017 pro) and a Logitech K400+ wireless-to-USB keyboard.

Please fix this very important bug as being unable to watch has made your app close to useless/irrelevancy. This REALLY needs to be fixed ASAP and tested EVERY time the app is updated. Most Android TV users, especially ones that sideload apps onto their devices, usually use a hardware mouse/keyboard...

+1. Two different keyboards. Some keys don't work at all (e.g "E"). The standard YT app is fine. This makes it impossible to search on YT, which significantly reduces the usefulness of the app. :( I really appreciate what you're doing because on Android TV the ads are rapacious. I will give a donation when this is fixed (on 'Pro' version) because the app is awesome.

You are doing a far better job than Google with this app. It gets 1.5 out of 5 on Play. Ppl are NOT happy!

The same problem with search and mini wireless keyboard. Please fix the search. I like this application but now when search is not working its anoying. On the version 6.17.586 it works OK
