Black video with no sound on starting video and other black screen on suggest videos during playing video #83

  1. issue was decribed in omx issue ticket: omx.amlogic.avc... buble is gone in new versions but there is another starting video problem in tested 6.12.79 and few previous same. Many videos start with no sound and blank screen. It happens always when Video quality autochoose video/vp9 or avc . When I manually switch to vice versa avc1 or vp9 it shows picture+sound and plays good, then I can switch it back to vp9 and everything works fine. But first start is always blank with no sound. Not all videos but 80% all videos start with vp9 and they are blank+no sound. Just manually switch to another codec and back starts it. Please solve this issue and reply to me to test it. My device is amlogic S912 with newest Android 7.1.2

  2. during video plays push "suggested videos", picture disappear, sound works, and wait after few seconds whole screen blank

  3. another issue is to looooong waiting after push BACK button during playing, sometimes just black screen shows for 5-10 seconds (now showing on video because I use best performance device)

same issue here in my old smart tv Android 4.2.1. In the first launch i choose the codec in codec tab AVC1 1080 and works fine, but videos in VP9 fail to play, black screen. Also i use 4k Alternative, thats mode only works for me.

any news about this issue? There is another on Android 7 for RK2339 (rockchip) with EXIT dialog. After click on exit, the app exits for 1 seconds and start again :[

I confirm issue 2 - black screen on suggested videos with sound. It happens randomly, but very often.

As I've found out, suggested video url does not contain "get_video_info", therefore isn't intercepted. So video plays in the background in the webview without switching to Exoplayer and there is no player controls.

@yuliskov Please check attached logs, they were captured exactly after finishing video playback until suggested video started to play in background with black screen.

I have a FireTV and I have this issue also.

Philips Android TV 7.0. I can confirm this issue. A sure way to replicate the problem is to wait for the second video in an auto play playlist. Usually it replays the same video, but only sound and black screen.

I confirm the same behavior as @dumitrudan608 said. Video is played with only sound and black screen. No player controls. (Exoplayer version)

90 linked to this issue, but i'm not sure this have same reason. I have this long loading EACH time i have idle in playing - so first video always have this problem and if i set video to pause for a minute - same. But it not happened if i switch videos, pause-and-instant-play or any other cases where i have no long (>1m) idle in playing. Also i have no sound in this moments. Have it on all versions over all year.
