Audio output is muted when mic is muted when using airpods #39

When I use push-to-talk on my airpod mic, the audio out stream is also interrupted.

Installed through macports v0.1.5 Computer Info: Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro18,1 Chip: Apple M1 Pro Total Number of Cores: 10 (8 performance and 2 efficiency) Memory: 16 GB Mac OS Monterey 12.0 (21A344) Airpods Pro

This also happens on airpods pro, and appears to be a Monterey bug. If you open up the Audio Midi Setup, you can see that toggling the mute on the Airpod input source source also toggles the mute on the output source. On previous versions of the OS, these behaviours were controlled separately.

Temporary Workaround Solution found on another (paid) product: Set the input device to the built-in microphone/webcam mic instead of the mic that is tied to the headphones/earbuds. PTT will still work to mute the mic without muting audio output if they are separate devices, and the built-in laptop mic is almost as good as the headphone mic.
