I actually have a bresenham line drawing routine and textured triangle renderer done in rust that could be added to this possibly. I'll do a little experimenting and if it works out submit a PR.
Cool! A couple concerns I have are:
- Currently this repo is unlicensed, so I would not accept any PR's until that's decided (likely dual MIT/Apache2 as is standard with rust packages) and the PR branch can be rebased on top of that to make sure we're clear wrt consent etc.
- I'm not actually certain we'll always want this to be backed by a software renderer; my latest thoughts on the matter is that the API may be decoupled from the renderer so things could be batched etc. However I'm happy to accept a line renderer and rasterizer as long as we keep the 4-color constraint the lib has and that it fits the painter API (or whatever else that becomes). I think it's a good idea to provide a lot of standard primitive drawing routines so that users could make whatever components they wish out of them.
