I saw your post on reddit about this repo, browsed your code and realized it was lacking comments imo. I couldn't understand a lot of it, but added a few since it's still a pretty small codebase. While it was interesting to read through your code, I'm not sure yet if I want to be a continued contributor, so feel free to take this PR as is.
I didn't run/test these changes because I only wanted to add comments.
