Cannot show logs - Function seems not to work #529

Upon right clicking on the Android Notifier's icon in taskbar and selecting 
"Show Log", nothing happens.

I am also not sure the "Check for updates" works as well as I try it and 
nothing happens.  Should it generate a popup like "No new updates available"?
