Deprecate Firefox extension #930

I believe Firefox has changed the way their extension system works and moved to 
a much faster iteration cycle.  Given that the extension doesn't buy us much 
and requires maintenance, I recommend we ditch it unless there are some real 
objections.

Actually I tried the extension some time before. Didn't seem to work. Nothing 
happens when I click the SE logo on my status bar.

I agree, its nice little extra and all, but it sure does require maintenance 
for something we don't have hard data -- on how many people actually use it, if 
any.
