Heavy Barrel(US) L/R buttons do not function #179

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Heavy Barrel(US)
2. Attempt to turn with L/R
3. Only sadness results, no turning

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
In the standard Mame4Droid (non-reloaded version) the L/R buttons will turn the
direction the player is facing, so that the player can move and fire in
different directions.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MAME4droid Reloaded (0.139)
Nexus 7
Jelly Bean 4.1.1

Please provide any additional information below.

You need to redefine it pressing coin+start at the same time, selecting input
(this game) and assign the desired buttons to positional analog dec and inc

Thanks for the response seleuco! That was indeed the problem, and after
assigning the positional analog dec/inc it began to work properly. The only
only other game I'm having similar problems with is Time Solders (US Rev 3) -
in the regular Mame4Droid it has a game configuration option for Dial, and the
L/R works to turn the character. In Reloaded, with the same ROM, this Dial
entry is not available from the configure the input for this game option. I
tried setting the generic input for the positional analog to L/R, but it didn't
seem to help.

Regarding the performance, it's been GREAT so far for me on the Nexus 7. I've
even turned on the options that might impact performance and it's been smooth
as silk. So far I've tried 1943, Double Dragon, Galaga '88, Heavy Barrel, Time
Pilot, and Time Soldiers.

I'm using the WiiRemote app to play the games in full screen with a classic
controller pro. It's worked great so far. Thanks again for all of the hard work
on Reloaded and the help.
