I don't know what the roadmap here is like, but just displaying the current comment subpages sounds like a good first step before allowing commenting. :)

I'd like to display them as proper threads (see BaconReader for my favorite implementation), rather than as a simple wiki page. And once that 'parsing' is done, adding comments at any point is also trivial (but the Initial parsing is hard). I'm guessing this would be 2.0 at the least.
