I think you could create a new temp file and copy HTML into it as a workaround before the access to clipboard problem been solved.
Then it is doable. (to render selected Markdown snippet to a HTML file and open it)
Hoping someone can help since I am sort of busy now.
@neilsustc When you have time, you might check it out this project Copy Markdown as HTML . This extension do can access to clipboard. I don't know how he made it, but I think it's possible to achieve.
I'd like this feature also to make this extension more "all-in-one". I very often need to copy parts of a markdown page into HTML for pasting into online website managers/blogs. Having to print to HTML and then open the file and copy/paste the right parts is inconvenient. The problem with using the extension 'copy markdowns as html" is that it doesn't add anchor links to TOC so it's not a full solution. I wish I could contribute, but hope this can be added in any case. Thanks for considering it.

Sometime I need copy Markdown as HTML and paste into my blog posts. I do this all the time. Hope this feature can be implemented.
