Hi, please provide all the plugins you have installed (no need to include screenshots of PhpStorm's built-in plugins). I am unable to reproduce this issue on both Windows and Mac systems. I suspect that one of the plugins you installed has modified IDEA's Editor information, causing problems with the Editor height that I obtain. I will install all the plugins you have installed to see if I can reproduce this issue.

Why are you a fan of this menu, I told you before it is easy to make a sidebar like all AI plugins! this way you solve flickering problems. 100% and for sure you will solve scrolling " If some plugin play with the environment " , the overlay you are making is not good , it is not user-friendly!

The workload involved in this process cannot be resolved quickly; it requires repeated adjustments.
There may be some new features that take priority over this issue, which will take time to develop first.
Why not imitate some established plugin interaction methods? I aim to create a plugin with a unique style, which may lead to various issues affecting usability. However, through everyone’s feedback, we can continuously improve the experience for all plugin users.

Issue 1: The icon menu obstruction problem does not have a better solution at the moment. I've reviewed the source code for the IDEA Editor, and it doesn't provide an API to disable this feature.

Issue 2: The flickering issue doesn't occur on Mac. I'll continue to investigate and see if there's a way to resolve it.

I've found one of the causes of the flickering issue, and it will be fixed in the next version.

PS: Why did you remove the cookie collector from the setting, now we have to go to get it by hand! PS: How can we ask any question to the AI, no place to chat/type qustions in the sidebar window

Check if there is an error message in the lower right corner of Idea when clicked. If there is, click to report it. If there is no error reported, I will troubleshoot the cause later.

In the case of Bing Copilot without a login status, you can ask four times per conversation, which is basically sufficient. When the number of conversation times is used up, create a new conversation. If there are special requirements, you can just paste it from the browser. If necessary, I will add it back later.

It's really strange. I specially installed phpstorm on the virtual machine's Windows system and tested it without any problems. 😂

virtual machine is not the correct approach, You need the real windows on a real PC! You are welcome to test via anydesk on my pc

Code autocompletion is currently supported, but only by some AI providers. You can refer to the following steps for specific settings.

Note: Code autocompletion is still in beta. While coding, the context surrounding your cursor will be passed to the AI. However, currently only the Java language is processed. For other languages, only the 200 lines of code surrounding the cursor in the current file and other open tabs will be passed to the AI. In the future, I will gradually integrate other languages based on the actual usage of the plugin.

Here's an example using Anthropic

Fill in the necessary information required by the AI provider

Click the Code completions tab. The plugin provides several templates by default. For Anthropic, select the `Generic` template.

Templates are not applicable to all models. Choose a template based on the model you are actually using. If the template is not applicable, you can customize the prompt.
Prompt max tokens determines how much context is given to the AI.
Click the Test button to test and adjust the prompt.

Select the configured AI provider.
