Installation type (.deb, Snap, etc.):
Ubuntu Software app
Description:
When playing podcasts using CPOD on a USB audio device (in my case a NAD DAC) the sound gets distorted after a while (2-5 mins). Switching from digital to analog audio fixes the problem for another couple of minutes but then the sound gets distorted again. Switching back to analog audio fixes it, but again for a just a few minutes. So I need to switch from analog to digital and back every 2-5 minutes or so to have normal sound. This only occurs while using CPOD, audio from other applications sounds fine.
Steps to reproduce:
Listen to a podcast using a USB audio device.
Other information (e.g. Developer Tools console log, screenshots) if possible:
The problem occurred on both Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04. Nothing showed in the developer tools on 18.04, CPOD crashes after opening the developer tools on 20.04. Comparable distortion occurs when having a clock issue, for instance when I disable my soundcards clock in PulseAudio, all applications have the same kind of distortion.
