Is this library maintained/active/dead?

As this project is used as a core in an integration in Home Assistant, I ask if the project is still active or maintained? The integration in question https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/smarty fails because of some issues related to this library and I saw issue #1 that there has been no response from you (@z0mbieprocess) recently. If the project is not active/maintained, is it possible to transfer the ownership of the repository, or add others as admins.? This goes for the pypi listing as well. I have also sent you an email regards this topic.

@fiLLLip I'm needing this library, but I see it's not working and not maintained for more than 5 years. Is there any way to recover it? Maybe forking it and replacing in Home assistant the forked one? Any other idea? I'm eager to help if possible, I'm a developer but I'm not expert with Python! Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi! This sounds promising! But... I'm super ignorant on this part... how can I test it on my HA? How can I add an integration tht is not yet approved? Can you help me on this... I'll be happy to test and to help in any way if I can!
