truncate status message #213

in detailes mode, contact list tries to display whole status message, what
looks awful.

I have to admit, I'm not sure what i'm looking at in your screenshot.

All labels in the contact list, should be using Ellipsize End mode. which means 
if
the message goes beyond the widnow, it puts "..." at the end.

What are you trying to show me about the view? I dont see anything in your 
screenshot.

That looks like a multi-line message to me, which is being cut off on the second
line. I'm not sure what we should do with multi-line messages, should be just 
remove
the newlines and have it all on one? or only display the first line?

if status message is multiline, only first line should be displayed and should 
have
"..." at end if it didn't fit.

Ah I get it. Yeah, um we should just remove new-lines... thats my opinion. 
Ellipsize
will take care of the rest anyway.

So you are saying that you still see Personal Messages that span Multiple Lines
inside the Contact List?

Ah its because you are talking about Jabber, not MSN :

It was only fixed in MSN. I'll change it elsewhere too. And i notice that your 
JID's
aren't showing in full. it just shows the part before the @ sign. This should 
show
the full JID. I'll look into that too.
