Some messages are not sent (or don't arrive) #218

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I send messages to contacts...
2. Sometimes (it's difficult to count), some messages are not sent (or my
contact doesn't receive them).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
If some messages are not sent, I'd like to have an error message.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
(you can run the "diagnose" script in the root directory of the Galaxium
sources to get a detailed report)
Galaxium v0.8-svn, build 940, Debian Sid

Please provide any additional information below.
Sometimes, Galaxium is stopped (I don't know which verb I should use). It's
not frozen, but there's no activity. I think everything is ok, but, if I
stop it and launch it again, some contacts are logged out and some are
logged it. May be it's linked ???

There already is an error message that will display if Galaxium doesn't think a
message sent correctly, so I guess Galaxium isn't seeing a problem.

The only way we can fix this is if you show us the output from a terminal or the
debug window whilst this is happening.

That happened to me sometimes. With some particular contacts

Does it happen always with the same contacts? If so could you find out which MSN
client (& version) they're using?

The output from the debug window or a terminal whilst this is happening would be
useful too.

Again this is the same type of issue as another issue we have. MSN servers
could be
having troubles. Can you log the chats and send them to us? Just use the Debug
Window
and then open a chat and send us the results.

so far nothing has been brought forward about this bug as evidence of its
occuring
without an error message. without logs we can't diagnose, and we haven't
whitnessed
it since.

Closing this issue unless someone messages us about it.
