it works for me... does your logs show anything in the console?
try running from console, and then use quit from tray. see if you get errors

I ALWAYS start galaxium in terminal and there's usually I got the logs from.
when I use "quit" I see artifacts drawn on tray icon and galaxium still loggin
status
changes etc. in terminal.
no error is being shown.

that was me btw. i can't reproduce this.. tests i took:
- start terminal
- start galaxium
- connect to IRC and XMPP
- go to Galaxium->Quit
Comes right back to the terminal and back to shell.
Can anyone else confirm this bug?

Try open some chats. If you have them, the item will close the conversation
window
and not the whole app.

Ok, now I have opened both those sessions, opened some chats. and still, quits
fine.
Dunno what else to try.
