Galaxium fails to start with some Video Input Devices #258

galaxium in svn is pretty sick. look:

(Galaxium.Startup:7182): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: Failed to deactivate pad
source:src, very bad

after that I expected tray icon to appear, but nothin happened...

maybe because galaxium thinks my tv card is a webcam.

problem appear probably because tvtime (a tv viewer) was running when I
started galaxium in terminal.

I don't know to be honest, I wouldn't have expected GStreamer to cause the app
to
terminate, but does consistently it run without tvtime running and break when
tvtime
is running?

yep. tvtime doesn't use gst and uses tv card directly, blocking gstreamer
access to
the device.

OK. So all I can think is perhaps we could do something along the lines of the
fuser
command to check if a device is in use before we try to use it.

We need a more descriptive title for this. "wont start" is inaccurate.
