The last package in PPA does you no good... you need SVN. Why exactly can't you
compile?
Original comment by Zarevucky.Jiri

Is my problem... The system can't satisfy the dependence of the package 'hal'!
But i
delete some files from the dpkg directory... I kill my ubuntu i think :P... But
when
i finish my exams the next week i reinstall everything and try again
Thanks!!

You need -dev packages for the compilation to work... :)

anyways, the problem still continues, i checked it

Well... if I recall correctly, two people reported that the issue wanished when
they
removed Galaxium's configuration... maybe you could try that? Or maybe it was
related
to another problem, I'm not sure.

I remove the galaxium configuration located in my /home/nicolas/.config and the
problems stay there... Is not solved...

Also,
when I start a conversation, it is shown as being a group chat (the contact is
shown
twice!).

Original comment by nicolase...@gmail.com
on 18 May 2009 at 10:56
damn, how could i write adn instead of svn?
i'll try that, but what should matter is it working with windows live
messenger, for
most contacts use it.

Damm! Works really fine with WLM9 --> GALAXIUM ... But in when the other
contact use
emesene then the conversation starts in a group chat... Really strange
Original comment by nicolase...@gmail.com

it works for you with WLM9? gotta try again then
Original comment by sebas.sc...@yahoo.com.ar
on 18 May 2009 at 11:41
Still not working that good for me, and with WLM9 sometimes a sort of group chat
window is opened.
By the way, when someone sends a nudge it doesn't get registered or no text
indicating this appears, this shouldn't be like that, and we could also make the
logger log nudges

With r1582 the problem is solved!!!
I try with emesene, WLM9, Kmess 2 Beta2 and pidgin and works really great!
Thanks a lot!
Now i report more issues/feature request :P
Original comment by nicolase...@gmail.com

yeah I've fixed all this stuff today. Didn't realize this issue was so active :P
Its just changes from MSNP18 upgrades. I'm sure there is still some weirdness
left
over somewhere.

Now that this issue is fixed, could you please update the repository?
I tried to compile it myself but with no success (have no ideia where to get the
gstreamer-video.0.10 package...).
Original comment by ricardof...@gmail.com
on 20 May 2009 at 4:19
Download thats packages...
libgstreamer0.10-0
libgstreamer0.10-dev
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-dev
After that the automake needs something with the HAL package... You need to
download this
libhal-deb
Then the automake finish without problems...
After the automake in my case when i try to compile with make, the make send me
a
error of the 'cairo' dependency. If this happens just install
libcairo2-dev
This works for me, please try with this and if works we can edit the wiki to
help the
others to compile (It is tested in Ubuntu Jackalope)

Thanks a lot nicolasespina. :)
And yes, I think that the wiki should be edited. ;)

So... I just tried it with last revision, without success...
If a contact starts a conversation with you (from Pidgin to Galaxium), the
message is
not delivered. I guess it has a problem accepting the connection. After you
start the
conversation, with Galaxium, it all just goes fine.
