To be honest, this project won't get much further development from me. For a few reasons: There are lots of competing projects of a decent standard, I have a lot less time for Zabbix related projects, and there hasn't been a huge response for this project. You are welcome to fork it and continue its development, or I can add you as a committer if you are interested in continuing its development here.
