It would be great if you could start with topic 1 for this week.As its more important that I flesh out the characters for NFVF deliverable.
Its great that you already have a good scope on the different characters and thier historical tales..should make for the filtering through of information somewhat smooth If I could please ask you to send through whatever information you gathered under each character/warrior women's name.Just saw I can filter through it abit better when received.

The theme of the film is unity. The girls must unify to defeat a common enemy and also unity on the continent between tribes and countries . We are looking for research in the below 2 categories. Where you can, please include visual references . We have quite a bit of research about each queens life and rule and what they accomplished but we need some richer cultural information to give our characters more depth and layers
Culture We are looking for historical info about the culture in those countries from which the ladies originate from. Anything interesting rituals, clothing, what do people do for leisure and what did they do back in those days that the queens were alive, Hairstyles, languages, phrases, anything interesting happening in their tribes in those days. Maybe same sex marriages were big then, or inter racial relations with colonisers, christianly, local religions, sexism ?
Africa facts We are looking for top 3 topical issues in Africa that is currently making unification of Africa and the diaspora not possible. Debt? Corruption? Africom? Foreign aid? Xenophobia?
