The best way to do this is by Tag, but thats highly dependent on the source game list. Since most are either no-intro or redump, it works for the most part. For PCE CD it should work: Open the game list>Sort by Tag> then choose whichever grouping you're interested in
Or if you're looking for multiple tags or a set it / forget it method: Search>Choose Game List(s)>Filter by Tags and select multiple tags>Generate Search Link>Add to Favorites or IAGL Favorites
For your example, I made the below link in about 30 seconds:
Closing with some updated documentation in the wiki
"Open the game list>Sort by Tag> then choose whichever grouping you're interested in" Okay thanks, I know how to do that and it helps.
"Or if you're looking for multiple tags or a set it / forget it method: Search>Choose Game List(s)>Filter by Tags and select multiple tags>Generate Search Link>Add to Favorites or IAGL Favorites" I've tried to do this but couldn't.
Working on adding this to the wiki, but the steps would be: Go to IAGL Search Select Game List, choose your game lists. For this example I chose PCE CD
Select Filter Tags. Choose all the tags for english games. For this example I selected all the "En" and "T-En" tags. Your search window will look like this:
Choose 'Create Search Link' at the bottom, follow the prompts to generate your new custom link (Title, Description, Art):
That will generate one link:
Which you can add as a favorite:
When you select the link, it should take you to PCE CD games that only contain the selected Tags:
The same method can be used for customizing in infinite ways: By title regex - Example, any game with "Mario" in the title Multiple game lists - Example, all handheld game lists By genre - Example, all fighter games By player - Example, only 2 player co-op games By year - Example, only 1999 games By studio - Example, only Capcom games By tags - See example above By custom groups - Example, only 1G1R grouped games
Thanks Zach I understand it now. :D
I've been playing a bit of Turbo Graphics CD games recently and noticed the vast majority are in Japanese. What would really help me out is if there were some kind of sort function that made it so only games of a certain language appeared on the list. Something that I wouldn't have to input all the time always would be good; that is to say, I set it once to display only English games and then I never have to set it again.
