To ensure proper, structured development of the project, ensure a suitable and scalable set of policies are employed for version-control and version release.

See here for sample reference.

Goals:

[ ] Ensure tools are documented and in place in all development tools to enforce such policies.
[ ] Document these policies in all necessary areas.
