I now disagree with this post. Hard work pays off. Of course that doesn't mean you should justify hustle culture and exploitation, but on the other hand, this is the kind of mentality that will keep you down since you think the world is against you. If you find the right employer, and get compensated fairly, and do good work, and keep your nose clean, you WILL get ahead and build wealth.
