Invalid Repository? #23

Please advise:

Invalid Respository

How do I install this in Home Assistant (I have an OC300 on the same network segment as a Rapberry PI 4running HA Supervised)...? What is the url for the custom repository? What code needs to be installed manually and where, and what files - in GitHub there are a bunch of them and no instructions for which ones - ? Sorry for what must seem like dump questions, I cannot even get the custom repository added because do not know which URL to use....?

?

You'll need to add it via HACS, not the supervisor. I believe you can install HACS from the supervisor.

Than you Zach I have already installed HACS. (Home Assistant Community Store)... That dialog box WAS from within the HACS... to add the repository I need to enter a URL, what is the valid URL? "HA-OMADA" is not listed in the community store so I have to 1. click the three dots in the corner and 2. select "Repository" - which then makes the previous picture I sent appear as a dialog box asking for a URL for your repository.... (see the new and previous picture)? Untitled

Hey! I'm running into the same issue as well. I made a quick screen capture of the issue and the steps I was using to add the repository. I think it might be looking for the hassos.yaml file which might have gotten moved somewhere? (IDK just a guess) Thank you for making this integration and I am looking forward to using it!

Pay attention to the screenshots, they show HCAS in the Menu. You are in Configuration ... first need to install HACS - Download section has the install guide.

Once HACS is installed, follow instructions above (screenshoots ^^^).

[edit] updated Install HACS link.

Thank you for the clarification and update! Just finished setting up HCAS and waiting for it to finish syncing w/github. Will give this a go once that's all done.

Sorry @zachcheatham and @baylanger, thank you for your patience for dealing with a hardheaded programmer that finally gets where I need to go only by banging my head against the wall until my brain works.... also @Seraph2029 your video shows you had the same mistake I did earlier... for anyone else I hope these screen shots help:

2. image

3. The full url includes the ".GIT" at the end:

4. When you click "Add" you are going to have to wait a little while... image

5. FINALLY:

6. Download it...

7. When done -

9. Enjoy! Now I can start digging into this and maybe start asking some non-idiotic questions and make some progress, even contribute at some point :-)
