One thing that would be amazing is if you could include an option for not only public holidays but even school holidays. In Germany at least these are defined by the state, for instance for Berlin state: https://www.berlin.de/sen/bjf/service/kalender/ferien/termine/.
I'm not sure if there's an API to call directly. But it's defined 5 years ahead of time and one could download the .csv-file and use.
