Integrating material tabs with <ion-tab>/<ion-tabs> #118

Is there a way to integrate the material tabs with tabs interface already built into ionic? Has anyone got experience doing this/have a codepen handy?

Additionally, is there a more appropriate forum for discussion about ionic-material, or is the issues tracker on github all there is right now?

@davidnc44 take a look at https://github.com/delta98/ionic-material-design-lite it focuses primarily on utilising ionic directives directly.
