Hey, I'm here several years later. I've got a Chrome OS machine - I'll see if I can figure out how to pull a list of available fonts out of it (and then I'll see if there's a way to pull this information from the source tree).
Without going to the command line, is there already a page with a tool out there that will search a system for the existence of every known font name (or at least, every font name known to the open-source world, including all Google fonts) using the "change the font stack to fall back to two different fonts with known different lengths for a glyph and see if the width changes" technique?
Okay, here are the options in the dropdowns to change your font in ChromeOS's font settings:
It may include Roboto! https://make.wordpress.org/core/2016/07/07/native-fonts-in-4-6/
I don’t have access to this currently. Hoping I get a reply to https://twitter.com/zachleat/status/782071456326782977
