CRAN Release Rollout #112

How do you want to publicize the release of caretEnsemble to CRAN? I was thinking of posting something about it on my blog -- www.jaredknowles.com and also discussing the way it is used in production in my day job for the Wisconsin Dropout Early Warning System there. My blog gets mirrored to StatsBlogs and R-Bloggers.

Other thoughts on where we could announce it?

I was also planning to announce it on my blog, which hasn't been updated in a while and I think was dropped from R-Bloggers.

R-bloggers is probably the best forum for it— is there a "package announcements" mailing list?

Now, how do I submit to CRAN? I was reading through Hadley's guide, and it looks like devtools has some tools for submitting to CRAN?

@zachmayer You can also do: http://cran.r-project.org/submit.html

Sounds like a plan! I think devtools::release is just a wrapper around that page.
