I guess is CFG lock
Thanks! But i've done this step:
setup_var CpuSetup 0x3e 0x0 setup_var CpuSetup 0xda 0x0 exit Restart your laptop and boot into the BIOS. Do a factory reset. Now your CFG lock will be disabled. You can confirm that by running the VerifyMSR2 option.
And VerifyMSR2 say it's unlocked.
I resolved, maybe it's a common sense, but just put here for future comers: it works if make USB boot stick from a Mac, doesn't work (above error) if make usb from the dell builtin windows 10
FWIW, I have this error and I created my USB installer on OSX. See: https://github.com/dortania/bugtracker/issues/110
Recently bought a XPS 15 9500 with i7-10875H, manually add Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1GB SSD (additional to original PC SN530 NVMe WDC 256G SSD, windows 10) and 64GB Crucial DDR4 3200 RAM. Non touch 1920x1200 screen, all BIOS disabled as described in readme. Only change I made in config.plist is also follow readme generated serialnumber, mlb & uuid:
It enters apple logo screen with progress bar go to about 60%, then stuck on a "prohibitive sign screen". Refer to dortania guide to save debug log to file, the ending lines with some error messages are:
I searched some of these error messages online, but none of them helps. Seems other people have issues here at least finished install :) So any clues on what is wrong here. Can it be specific to my hardware? Thanks!
