I think randomized show's completely deficites the purpose of what the Grateful Dead stood for which was to improvise every show and never played the same show twice.

I was thinking it would be a fun addition to the app to have a button for a random show/song of an artist. Could also be fun to have an option where the information on what you land on is hidden until you choose to reveal it. Could be used as a “guess the year” game.
Even if you don’t go with the second suggestion, I think a random button would be great. One option for a singular track and one for a date/entire show.
I love this idea. Let's add two grouped rows above the On This Day row when viewing a band which takes the user to a random performance or plays a random track.
Implementation notes:
For "Random show", choose a random performance, then take the top recording by downloads
For "Random song", get a random show/recording as "Random Show", then take a random track
This should help result in a more desirable random set.
Hey Now Zack,e U Attics is great actually use it quite often. @guesstheyear is a fellow family member as well as his reputation right now within the community smokes. I think he would be upset if you did this " as well as super organized.
I am signed up for it when he starts it in the fall.
Am alternative would be something like the Grateful Dead Time Machine qwhich is run by LIVE for LIVE FOR LIVE MUSIC AMD Contact STEVE s``
