Description

Sync seems to loop endlessly. I've pasted a portion of the log, I only noticed after spending a bit of time downstairs, leaving my laptop turned on, in a span of ~4 hours it transferred >40 Gigabytes of Data, just syncing over and over. I can provide an anonymized Database and the full log via email if you need it :) I've also found (closed) issue #4288 which seems to also have had the problem, although it was for an older version. I have also tried clearing my local install and syncing fresh from the server, but after a while it started again. I think I also have the log file where it started occuring, there's nothing about it in the log file from today, then there's a ton of it in todays logfile. (The logfiles are from the local client installation)

I have the same problem. I have three local instances (Windows) and a server on Ubuntu. On all three there is endless synchronization. A complete reload of the local database from the server does not help for long.

UPD. At the same time, it loads the processor, disk and network, sometimes heavily (it starts to slow down and freeze)

I have a similar problem - it happened for the second time today - the first time it occurred it was after downloading new version with fix for https://github.com/zadam/trilium/issues/4453 - dunno if that matters.

I was able to fix it by deleting all local content and re-downloading it from the server - this time around it did not help though.

I've had it happen again, on a different client where it wasn't happening before. It seems like it might be connected to deleting revisions, that's what I did while editing a document before it started again.

It did not help. I installed the 0.63.0-beta client on two PCs and the 0.63-latest server, and there is still endless synchronization.

Fully reloading the local DB from the server seems to have solved the problem, at least for now.

Is there a way to reliably trigger the issue? I was able to fix the second time it happened by resetting the server data and rebasing it from the client data and it hasn't happen since.

I have the same issue, but it does not get fixed with 0.63.0-beta. My document.db is around 800MB in size and I can see in my nginx logs that in the last 9 hours 1.40GB were transferred to this client. Looking into the server log, I see the following entries over and over again. Unfortunately, there are not timestamps so I cannot say how often this occurs:

I solved this issue for me by deleting the Trilium data folders and reconnecting the client to the server. After around 5 minutes, all 24.000 items were synced. One thing which is special about this client was, that it was running on a PC, which did not run for the last two weeks, therefore a lot of changes piled up.
