Unclear whether this a bug or a respecification i.e. enhancement. This immunizes all fire-elemental type monsters against being ignited by mere ammunition. (They already were immune to being ignited by mere fire.)
Remember: the question is "how do B-movies handle this", not "how do physics simulations handle this". Flaming eyes are not consumed by the fire that envelops them, and they already could not be ignited by mere burning terrain. Their flesh is built out of supernatural handwavium, no transcoding to local chemical elements required.
