Crashes when opening a large number of files #475

I find that when opening a large number of files (like 100) each in their own 
window the program routinely crashes. The latest version unfortunately does not 
seem to have solved this. I am running Yosemite 10.10.1 on an iMac with 32gb 
Ram.

Also in future versions could you add a function to tile all open windows so 
that they fill the screen as opposed to opening on top of each other?

This is because the images need to be kept in graphics card memory, and there 
is a limited amount of it. Unfortunately there is no easy solution to this, so 
this will have to remain a "don't do that" issue for now.
